sawyer walker, ol/te/olb

Class of 2029

Sawyer and I began working together in the winter of 2024-25, and we’re continuing to build now.

From the start, this has been about strength—physically and internally.

His confidence is rising. He’s learning who he is. And you can see it.

Sawyer is sharp. Smart. Quick with clever jokes. He loves laughing with his friends and he loves football just as much. But when it’s time to work, he locks in.

He’ll do anything the team asks of him.

He won JV Lineman of the Year in 7th grade—and in 8th was the starting tight end in a semifinal playoff game. He is preparing for his freshman season. Not many athletes his age are investing in themselves the way he is.

I’ve watched him play all five positions on the offensive line. Catch passes at tight end. Take handoffs on jet sweeps. And on defense? He’s a dog.

Natural instincts at outside linebacker. Smart. Reactive. Physical.

What stands out most is his willingness. He shows up. He works. He competes. And he enjoys the process.

That combination is rare.

He’s building something early, and he’s building it the right way.
